Hey North Florida! Let’s Talk Health, From Someone Who’s Been There.

Lost in the green maze of the Florida forest, gliding over turquoise springs in my kayak.

Hey everyone, I’m Dr. Cameron Stewart, but please, call me Dr. Cam. I’m thrilled to be practicing here in beautiful North Florida, helping folks feel and function their best. Over the next year, I want to share some thoughts with you right here on this blog – weekly insights into health, wellness, and how chiropractic care might just be the missing piece you’ve been looking for.

But first, let me tell you a little about myself, because my journey to becoming a chiropractor wasn’t exactly a straight line. I was born back in ’82 and spent my early years soaking up the sun in Santa Barbara, California. Life took a turn around 7th grade when my family moved up to Mead, Washington – think wide-open spaces and farm life. Swapping beaches for barns was quite the change!

From farmhand work, which taught me the meaning of hard physical labor (and gave me my first taste of back strain!), I dove into high school and then collegiate track and field, focusing on the throwing events – shot put, discus, and the hammer throw. Talk about putting stress on your spine and joints!

Then came another big chapter: eight years serving our country as a Combat Navy Corpsman attached to Marine Corps units. My service took me to the front lines in both Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Those years were demanding – physically, mentally, and emotionally. They taught me resilience, the importance of teamwork, and gave me an up-close look at the human body’s ability to endure… and its need for proper care and recovery.

See, alongside these experiences, I’ve carried my own companions: chronic neck pain, persistent backaches, frequent headaches, and the unwelcome diagnosis of multiple herniated discs. I know what it’s like to live with pain, to have it limit your activities, and to search for real solutions.

That search eventually led me to chiropractic, not just as a patient, but as a calling. I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic’s Port Orange campus back in December 2014 and have spent the last 10 years dedicated to helping others find relief and improve their quality of life, just like chiropractic helped me.

Now, as a husband and father living and working right here in North Florida, my passion is helping my community – people like you – navigate their own health journeys.

So, stick around! Each week, we’ll explore different topics – from managing pain and improving posture to boosting athletic performance and handling stress. I’ll share insights from my experiences – the farm, the field, the military, my own recovery – and explain how chiropractic care can play a vital role.

Got questions already? Dealing with your own aches and pains? Don’t wait! Reach out and let’s chat about how we can help you live a healthier, more comfortable life.
